ORGANIC VINEYARD IN THE MINERVOIS
~ ROUBIA ~
ABOUT US
The Puy vineyard extends over twenty hectares of organic vines, on both sides of the Canal du Midi.
To the south-east of the village of Roubia there are around ten hectares made up of Viognier, Chardonnay and Sauvignon for the whites, plus Syrah and Merlot for the reds.
In the North-West there are more or less ten other hectares in AOP Minervois planted with Carignan, Grenache noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre for the black grape varieties and Grenache blanc, Marsanne and Vermentino for the white grape varieties.

Le Clos des Matelles

AOP Minervois Rouge 14,5%
Mourvèdre 60%, Carignan 40%
The care and attention given to the oldest vines in the vineyard allows us to fill these bottles. This cuvée is the full expression of Les Matelles, a vineyard that expresses itself through a powerful structure that requires time:
Time to harvest, knowing how to wait for optimum maturity
Time to vinify, not skimping on the daily work in the cellar
Time for maturing and the time needed by everyone to fully appreciate their tasting
This wine surprises us with complex aromas of black fruits, morello cherry, chocolate, leather… and a tannic structure that is as powerful as it is round.
To be enjoyed at the end of the day, or as an accompaniment to prime rib, duck breast, roast beef with morels…
